I'm MISSISSIPPI BOUND
So, I was extremely excited about the venue we locked down... it was beautiful, it was awesome, it was perfect. And when I walked out on the field area where I am supposed to be getting married... I teared up a little. Sure I acted like the sun was just in my eyes... Sure I acted like the place was "eh, ok" but inside I was jumping up and down, like a giddy little sorority girl... going. "O-M-G THIS IS IT!" My mom put down the deposit and we skipped away thinking about all the possibilities. Late Wednesday night my mom called me with a devestated tone in her voice. I got home from work around 8:30 and was slowly detoxing when my mom called me upset. "Melindy, I don't think we can do it..." I'm like..."uh, you don't think we can do what?" It turns out my mom has a situation. I won't share here. So she's going to have to undeposit the deposit on our wedding venue. It happens. Actually it's already happened once before for other reasons. So third time's a charm? I was sad about the venue, but I know that God will provide another opportunity.
But I was more upset because Matt and I were so supposed to meet with a photographer - we're so excited...he's awesome - But now we will have to wait. His name is Tim Harman, he knows my sister - not sure how... but I LOVE his work. he also has a blog, and I love that too!
Check him out: http://www.timharmanweddings.com/
But now that the wedding date has changed *which honestly meant so much to me* Matt and I decided we should wait to meet with Tim another time. Just until we have a concrete date. A REAL Concrete date.
Anyway, I'm leaving in a bit for Missississippi - is that too many iss's in that? I think so. My Mom and I are going to help my sister get settled into her APT. Hopefully i will have plenty of pictures to share when I get back.
I'm sad that you had a dissapointment in the wedding planning process already but I am positive your wedding will turn out just the way you want it once it gets here. I hated wedding planning.
