I live with a comedian

Guys are the same...no matter the species

"Ew. He just spit on me. Don't spit on me. ::Spit::"

"Matt, did you just spit on the cat? That's sick."

"He spit on me first."

True Story. It happened 5 minutes ago.

I got a new couch and some new chairs. We totally redid our livng room. i think it looks pretty good! we're almost finished but some of matt's friends are going to come by and get our old couches and stuff. So I won't post pics of it until its done.

While I was at the Orientation Leader retreat this past week matt surprised me by mounting our TV over our living room fire place. Check it out!

Sorry for the quality - I got this pic on my phone. Nothing like waking up to your significant other doing something you're relieved you don't have to do.

Sorry I've been non-blogsistent lately. ha- wow, I think I'm funny. I've been so busy and overwhelmed with work. One of my Orientation Leaders got their nose broken at the retreat last week when we were doing a trust fall out in the woods.

For those of you who don't know what a trust fall is... please view the pic below (taken by my snazzy new BBerry!!! Why do I have a new phone? A story for another time.)

One of the girls was scared. "Ah!" she yelled as she fell backwards! And as she did her arms swung outwards and hit one of the other Orientation Leaders in the face! Blood squirted everywhere! "Oh dear God." I thought. Cory, the kid hit, just kept saying "Oh, it's not a big deal, it's ok- it doesn't hurt it just won't stop bleeding." Oh yeah Cory, no big deal! Luckily Valerie - one of my sorority sisters, and employees, knew exactly what to do. "Put your head back," she instructed as she pulled off her top shirt and let him use it to keep blood from flowing everywhere. Our student coordinator took him back to Carrollton where his mom met him at the hospital. OF course this happened. My first retreat with no one else there, I'm the only "adult" chaperone and someone gets their nose broken. Awesome. I won't even go into all the other stuff that went wrong...

Lindsey, one of our Orientation Head Staff members texted Cory the next day to see if he was ok. "how are you feeling?" She texted. "Like that girl doesn't trust me." Cory wrote.

hahaha.

Thank God he's ok. It's broken but he's not going to have to have surgery.

Hopefully I can blog more later!

  1. You're supposed to put your head FORWARD for a nosebleed so that you're not swallowing all that blood! Sorry--pet peeve of mine. Anywho, that's crazy, and it's now my new story to use for why I refuse to EVAR participate in a trust fall. The people I trust most have never made this a prerequisite, and I maintain that there's something to that!
