Kitty on my shoulder

It's a cozy little Monday night. I spent last night with good food, great friends and made some AWESOME memories at My friends Vanessa and Brent's wedding. Again no photos bc of course i STILL can't find my camera charger. I'm so organized.

Great NEWS: The KID CHAMELEON IS BACK! My car is fixed! I spent this evening Cleaning my beautiful car inside and out. And I drove around town just bc I could! :) Then I went to an Alpha Xi Delta Meeting.

I'm an Advisor for my sorority now and the Chapter Advisor had some things she had to take care of so I went to the Chapter Meeting in her place. To serve as and advisor. At a meeting. I was the only adult there. Me, AN ADVISOR? It was so totally weird. The Chapel on campus, where we have our meetings, was exactly the same. Same Woody smell. Same giant picture of Jesus on the wall that looked down on you with conviction when you murmered a curse word. Same podium. Same maroon carpet. Did I think things would've changed? No, they haven't changed, I've changed.

This particualar meeting, in which I was the acting adult, was a special meeting. Our Ritual meeting. When we said all the secret stuff we say at meetings - Don't you wish YOU knew, ha - it made me reflect on all the years I spent inside the walls of the Chapel. I hadn't uttered those words in almost 3 years. I thought two things: 1. I'm old as *?#$@! and 2. Those words are just as true today for me as they were when I first said them 6 years ago. Sorry for the sappy post...but for all the Alpha Xi Deltas out there in the world TFJ - You are all always ALWAYS in my heart and thank you for helping me become the Woman I am today. Xi LOVE. *Tear* ha- no really i kinda just teared up there...

Now I'm sitting here all cuddled up with Daxter. He's perched on my shoulder and kinda making it hard type. He doesn't mind...as long as YOU'RE comfortable Dax. Please. He's a weirdo - and I'm afraid he may be a super genius. More on that later.

Happy MLK day all!
